Experienced Plumber Helpers / Mechanics

Seeking experienced plumbing helper / mechanics that can construct and install all phases of domestic water systems, sanitary and storm systems, fuel gas systems, and plumbing fixtures in accordance with Local and State plumbing and building codes.

** Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug screening **

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be proficient at interpreting project drawings and documents and installing plumbing systems per nc plumbing code and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with all company policies and procedures as well as state and local regulations.
• Install water heaters, pumps, drinking fountains, sinks, lavatories, toilets, and urinals.
• Install domestic water systems.
• Comply with and enforce all safety requirements.
• Install storm water drainage systems.
• Install sanitary sewer systems.
• Ensure company tools and equipment are operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures.
• Test all plumbing systems per job specifications.
• Maintain daily logs and other project documentation.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• requires the knowledge and ability to install pvc, cpvc, no-hub cast iron pipe, service weight cast iron pipe, copper sweat, copper pro press systems, pex pipe, and victaulic piping systems.
• Requires ability to read and comprehend design drawings.
• Requires knowledge of osha safety requirements.
• Requires knowledge of ada requirements as well and state and local building/plumbing codes.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Licenses:

• 2 year as commercial plumber preferred
• ability to operate excavation equipment preferred but not required.
• Osha 10 or 30 hour certification preferred

Travel Requirements:

Physical/Work Environment Requirements:

• Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, be able to bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, kneel and twist. Must be able to climb ladders, work both inside and outside, and around moving equipment safely.
